For the beaches they look like soft clay. Still not completely like sand. As the physics get more realistic so does the game, I noticed some clippings happening with clothing. So this means either the cloth is dynamically changing on npcs or it is baked animations. If so, it would explain why some clippings were happening. If you look closely to some areas of the map you can see these areas are unloaded. It seems they might be using the rdr2 or maybe gta 5 feature for that. Not sure but hopefully the performance doesn’t drop.
